CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATING PRINCIPLE:
Switch disconnectors type OM have secant construction and is based on modular principle.
The basic unit consist a frame with insulators and current carrying parts.
A triple pole earthing switch as easily as fuse base can be fitted.Stored spring
energy operating mechanism with a snap action mechanism is mounted on the frame.
To ensure correct operation for all relevant currents, the switch disconnector system
OM/OMB is equipped with an arc extinguishing system. When interrupting the current,
a current independent air blast automatically starts at the correct time during the
interrupting process. This is achieved by designing the insulators on the opening
side as cylinder with pistons. The pistons are connected to the mechanism in the same
way as the moving contacts. The air blast therefore starts simultaneously with the
contact movement (autopneumatic air blast). The switch disconnectors may be opened
and closed by the following operating mechanisms:
- electric, type NSW30;
- manual, type NR-1.
As a standard, the mechanism is equipped with 1400mm length isolating rod. Accessories
such as shunt trip (220VAC, 110VAC, 220VDC, 110VDC) and auxiiliary switch ŁK - 15
can easily be added.
