Earthing switch type UNIII for 72,5kV and 123kV

The outdoor earthing switches type UNI are single-column switches with rotary moving knife in vertical plane, intended for earthing parts of circuit being in de-energised state, designed for operation in outdoor substations. Earthing switches are intended to operate as a single-pole switches with individual operating mechanism or in three-pole groups with one operating mechanism mounted under any of the poles.

CONSTRUCTION:
The base of the earthing switch is made as a framework of steel plates. Lateral plates are furnished with a bearing of vertical crankshaft and two brackets of horizontal axis supporting the lever holder of the earthing knife. The base is provided with an earthing terminal connected with the knife by means of flexible copper connecting lead. The upper part of vertical output shaft constitutes a crank, which is interconnected with the lever holder of the earthing knife, by means of a pull-rod. The latter three elements constitute a lever gear which crosses the dead points in both extreme positions. Rotary motion of the output shaft, through the vertical crankshaft, is transmitted by the pull-rod on the lever holder of the knife, causing its transposition from one extreme position to the other.

CHARACTERISTIC FEATURES:
